Microsoft has released 2 more themepacks for Windows 7 at its Personalization Gallery: One for Space lovers called the NASA SpaceScapes and the other for Wolf lovers. The NASA SpaceScapes themepack & the Wolf themepack has 14 & 11 cool desktop wallpapers, respectively

AT&T to be a Premier Vendor for Windows Phone 7

Windows Phone 7 is slated to be launched in a  couple of months from now and it seems like some of the biggies  are quite excited about the launch of the Windows Phone. An AT&T spokesperson sent an email to  PCWorld saying that “We’ll be the premier carrier for Windows Phone 7″ although they did not elaborate on what role they would  be playing as a Premier Vendor. Windows Phone 7  has been receiving positive reviews by some of the most popular technology blogs, who were provided with the preview unit of the Phone .

To be honest, you can have all these features but it simply does not look & feel that good and sometimes it is also quite tricky to get thinks working right. Just think of using a Web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox on the small screen of a Netbook while interacting with a Touch Pad… it simply does not make that much fun! Windows 7 ’s GUI was just not designed from the ground-up for multitouch, and the multitouch layer Microsoft has slapped on top is, at heart, just a kludge. Yahoo Japan to use Google, and not Bing Search

HP won’t build phones with Windows Phone 7 OS

On Friday, Hewlett-Packard confirmed that they will not build phones using Microsoft’s latest mobile operating system, Windows Phone 7. The PC giant said that they instead exclusively use its webOS software, which it got when it closed its Palm acquisition three weeks ago. HP’s Personal Systems Group VP, Todd Bradley, spoke with CNBC , and confirmed the news that they would be putting all their efforts into WebOS devices

Microsoft Selling More Than 7 Copies Of Windows 7 A Second

Microsoft reported its quarterly earnings yesterday, and managed (just) to stay ahead of Apple in terms of revenue for the same period. Microsoft said that their revenue was especially helped by strong sales of Windows 7 and Office 2010. Windows 7 is making such an impact that the Windows Team Blog have just announced that Windows 7 has managed to sell more than 175 million licences to date.
